I have been looking for some other ways to get the word on heartphone out and beyond my own websites. There is nothing wrong with spreading out a little bit. Very recently I came across a community called The Collective Family (cllct for short) and was immediately impressed by their organization and optimism for free digital releases. Plainly put, their motto is “The Collective Family would rather have their music heard, not sold.”
I can’t even think about arguing with that.
There is now a heartphone profile on cllct. There you can stream and download individual tracks (and of course the full release) from selected heartphone releases, as well as my Dead Spy EP originally released on A Bunch of Beatniks Riding A Rocket which has been unavailable for the past year or so.
More heartphone releases will find a home on cllct. I would suggest browsing around. There is plenty of highly decent music to discover and consume.
In other news, there are more releases on the way. I am expanding the roster and getting some of my long-time friends involved. So many good things to come.
Come back often.
